Milan, 2019My dissertation is a call to action for the audience to play a crucial role in changing perceptions about refugees. It centres on the humanisation of refugees by shedding light on their individual stories. Through a series of interviews and portraits, my objective is to compel audiences to perceive them as unique individuals beyond their refugee status. I have meticulously compiled these narratives and accompanying photographs into a published book and presented them at an exhibition in Milan. My thesis focuses on humanising refugees by highlighting their stories and emphasising that everyone is more than just a statistic. Through interviews and intimate portraits, I encourage readers to see refugees as individuals beyond their refugee status.
